788ac Wooded Land in Moorefield, WV (Hardy Co)
Yes, this is not in the normal areas of WV that we obtain leases. We got access to it from one of the landowners of another parcel being leased out to us. But if you're looking for a large & phenomenal piece of land to hunt on, definitely check this out.
Access to the land is going to be right off of Stony Run Rd, which ends up running through the northern tip of the property. There is a garage on the property that can be used by the hunters to store equipment. From there, you can access the rest of the property via ATV or by foot. Because of the size, an ATV will almost be necessary to use. We do ask that any ATV use be limited to bringing in/out game & equipment. There will be no recreational riding on the land and we need to stick to the existing trails only. No cutting in new trails. The primary water source is going to be Stony Run which runs the northern edge of the lease as well as the entire bottom property line. The primary food source is going to be the AG fields to the west of the property. Plenty of room on the lease for a food plot as well. Please run any plans for one by us first for approval. This property is the owner's private hunting grounds and has nothing but the highest acclaims for the quality of hunting on this land.
The only additional restriction on this lease, than WV hunting regulations, hunters will not have access to hunt when any of the firearm seasons are in. Given that WV's hunting season is primarily archery only, this restriction will be minimal for the season overall. Due to the size, we would like to have no more than (20) people on the lease.
The cost of the lease is going to be $11,000/yr and this includes a hunters insurance policy from Outdoor Underwriters. A 50% non-refundable deposit locks this in with the balance due by the end of April. Just use the discount code DEPOSIT when checking out for this option. And the hunters picking up this lease will have first right of refusal to renew it for future seasons.
